Andrew Miller is an Assistant Professor in Electrical and Computer Engineering at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign, and an affiliate in Computer Science.
He is an associate director of the Initiative for Cryptocurrencies and Contracts (IC3). Based at the Jacobs Technion-Cornell Institute at Cornell Tech, IC3 is a research group which involves faculty members from a number of universities collaborating with industry professionals to develop new blockchain-based solutions.
Miller is an advisor to Zcash, a privacy-focused cryptocurrency that grew out of the Zerocash project. He is the chair of the Zcash Foundation’s board of directors.
He received his Ph.D. from the University of Maryland Cybersecurity Center, where he focused on cryptography and secure decentralized systems.
