Brian Behlendorf

Brian Behlendorf is the Executive Director of the Hyperledger, a project at the Linux Foundation, an open source cross-industry collaboration hosted by the Linux Foundation. The project aims to advance blockchain technologies and build a set of distributed ledgers that can be used for a wide variety of purposes.

Behlendorf was a primary developer of the Apache Web server, and a founding member of the Apache Software Foundation where he served as Director until 2002.

Prior to joining the Linux Foundation in 2016, Behlendorf was Managing Director at technology investment firm Mithril Capital Management. Previously, he was Chief Technology Officer of the World Economic Forum, and of CollabNet which he also co-founded.

Behlendorf is a director on the board of a number of technology companies, including Mozilla, Benetech and Electronic Frontier Foundation,
