Eli Ben-Sasson is a Professor at Technion – Israel Institute of Technology, which he joined in 2005. He obtained his PhD from Hebrew U. in 2001 and held research positions at MIT, Harvard, and the Institute for Advanced Study, Princeton.
Eli’s research within theoretical computer science focuses on proofs and computation. He is also interested in the practical implementation of scalable proof systems for computational integrity and privacy, and their applications to decentralized systems and crypto-currencies. Eli co-invented Zerocash – a privacy preserving crypto-currency, and co-founded the startup behind its implementation – ZCash.
