Alexey Akhunov
Alexey grew up in Russia, and studied programming and later computer science from the age of 12, when he wrote his first version of "Snake" computer game in BASIC. After finishing computer programming course at a university in 2001, Alexey spent 2 years as a researcher in Database Systems for "Forschungszentrum Informatik" in Karlsruhe, Germany. Completed PhD back in Russia in 2014. Later on, Alexey worked at 4 investment banks, developing, deploying, and supporting trading systems in bonds, interest rate derivatives, futures and opitions, currencies, commodities, and stocks. He became interested in Bitcoin and subsequently other cryptocurrency projects starting from 2012. In June 2017, Alexey moved into full time work related to cryptocurrency projects, first as a security auditor, then as an Ethereum Core developer and consultant to blockchain startups.
