Privacy Policy – The TL;DR Version

If you came here to see pages and pages of legal jargon no one reads, click here to see the full privacy policy. Otherwise, please enjoy this short and actually digestible disclaimer describing the data we collect on our website.

Surprise! We use cookies!

This is a cookie 🍪

But sometime in the 90’s, this guy decided to leave tiny bits of information in Netscape so that shopping carts wouldn’t go empty every time people closed their browsers. He called this piece of data a cookie, and thus ruined the reputation of a perfectly good snack.

Today, just about every website uses cookies to track visitors in some form or fashion and consent is mandatory. And just like security demonstrations in airplanes, it’s one of those things you constantly need to be reminded of. You know, in case you haven’t used the Internet since 1995.

So, by using the Epicenter website, you agree to eat our cookies. Here’s how you can manage cookies in popular browsers: Google ChromeMozilla FirefoxApple Safari and Microsoft Internet Explorer. But if you fear the cookie monster, we recommend using incognito or private browsing.

Fun fact: Cookies were originally called “magic cookies”. Just imagine EU Parliament debates had we kept the original name.

With whom we share data

Aside from the services mentioned above, we never share your personal information with anyone. Actually, there was that time I bragged to my jiu jitsu mates that a member of the Gracie family was a fan of our podcast. But only that one time.

We do occasionally share aggregate stats with advertising partners, such as the number of plays we receive. If this poses a problem, you should probably stop using the Internet altogether.
